HIGH NUMBER OF CATTLE PRESENTED AT KILMALLOCK MART
Close on 970 cattle sold at Kilmallock Mart this week. Feed lot buyers very active and a strong export activity for AA store cattle. This weeks sale saw a strong increase in prices. Bullocks sold for up to €2020 each or €3.71 per kg. Dry cows hit €2460 each or €2.76 per kg. Heifers sold for up to €1780 a head or €3.74 per kg. Runners sold for up to €1000 each. Young calves made up to €510 each.

Saturday, 5th September saw another strong entry of cattle, with top prices achieved across all sections of the sale.
There was particularly strong demand for all types of stock, including runner weanlings, stores and fat factory cattle. A strong line-up of buyers was in attendance, with leading buyers, exporters, farmers and Northern customers all active both ringside and online.
Date for the Diary – Special Weanling Sale on Saturday, 12th September.
All types of bucket-fed and suckler-bred runners and weanlings are required to meet the strong demand from buyers.
The weekly sale continues every Saturday in Ring 1 at 12.30pm, with bidding also available online through the LSL app.
