BULLOCLS HIT €3,400 AT KILMALLOCK!
Bank holiday Monday saw 1,000 cattle on offer at Kilmallock mart. A firm trade for all types with plenty of demand. Bullocks hit €2,190 or €5.19 per kg for yearling types. Heavier bullocks made up to €3,400 a head or €4.20 per kg. Dry cows sold for up to €1,940 each or €3.36 per kg. Heifers sold for up to €2,370 each or €4.80 per kg. A clearance sale of 50 spring calving dairy cows made up to €3,020 a head, with an average of €2,100. Young calves made up to €600. Fr bulls approximately 75kg made up to €380
