EXPORTERS BUY BIG AT KILMALLOCK.
600 cattle were sold at Kilmallock on Monday last.
Along with farmers and factory agent buyers, exporters were very active. Light stores sold for up to €2,600 each or €5.83 per kg. Heavier lots made up to €2,630 each or €4.20 per kg. Dry cows sold for up to €2,640 a head or €3.51 per kg. Heifers hit €2,320 each or €4.66 per kg. Young calves born late December and weighing less then 75 kg made up to €805 each.
