Strong Trade at Kilmallock for 2500 stock. 2500 stock were sold at Kilmallock this week. Prices continue to be very strong with keen farmers, export & factory interest. Bullocks sold for up to €1,750 each or €2.93 per kg for heavy lots. Weanling bullocks made up to €1,550 each or €3.62 per kg. Dry cows made up to €1,760 a head or €2.45 per kg. Heifers sold for up to €1,630 each or €3.23 per kg. At the IHFA sale heifers made up to €4,150 and bulls made up to €4700. At the Organic sale on Saturday bullocks made up to €2000 each or €4.66 per kg. heifers made up to €1,680 each or €6 per kg. On this Saturday April 6th the premier Munster breeder’s sale will be held at 1pm.Please take notice as of January 01st 2023.
