STRONG DEMAND AT KILMALOCK MART
1000 Cattle were sold at Kilmallock Mart this week. On Monday Bullocks sold for up to €2420 each or €4.70 per kg for lots under 550kgs. Heavier Bullocks made up to €3140 a head or €4.34 per kg. Dry Cows sold for up to €2820 each or €3.70 per kg. Heifers hit €2650 a head or €4.86 per kg. Heavy Bulls sold for up to €3150 each or €3.30 per kg. On Tuesday Weanling Bulls made up to €2140 each or €5.63 per kg. Weanling heifers hit €2150 each or €5.91 per kg. At Organic sale on Saturday Bullocks made up to €3500 each. Lighter weanlings made up to €7.42 per kg. Organic Heifers made up to €2440 each or €6.72 per kg. The Last Weanling sale of the season is on next Tuesday December 9th.
